NNOPU´s activities are varied but include membership recruitment, advocacy, fund raising, networking locally, nationally and internationally and providing training opportunities and support to members.

The NNOPU Donors Conference was held in Kampala on May 6, 2009 and a tour of many of the organizations that registered as members of NNOPU followed. The outcomes were:

The International Day for Older Persons was commemorated at Kitatya Primary School Wabwoko Sub-county in Kayunga District. The theme of the celebrations was “Ageing with security and dignity” to promote the spirit of active ageing and productivity and to recognize the contribution of older persons to national economic development.
