Vision:
Purpose/objectives:
  1. Increased public awareness creation on the rights of older persons in Uganda
  2. Improved advocacy for older persons and their programmes at all levels
  3. Improved livelihoods of the most vulnerable older persons particularly HIV/AIDs affected persons and their dependants including orphans.  
Background: URAA was established in 1991. It has a functioning Secretariat and has been successful in mobilising local and international resources which has benefited a number of older persons programmes and projects. URAA introduced the observation and celebration of 1st October in Uganda as International Day for Older Persons.
